A very impressive hybrid turbo upgrade on this Mini Cooper S R56 N14. To complement it, the owner installed an upgraded front mount intercooler, cold air intake kit and full exhaust. The engine had recently been serviced and the cylinder head cleaned from combustion residues on the intake valves.
Driving the car daily on a hybrid turbo can be a bit difficult, specially in traffic and city conditions. Using our custom ECU calibration we installed two different maps, switchable via the Sport button: The driver can select either stock mapping, which outputs 175bhp, or Hybrid turbo mapping, which produces 280bhp.
Upgrade specifications
- Stock N14 engine – needs to be in good shape and properly maintained
- 98RON fuel
- Upgraded intercooler
- Upgraded exhaust
- Upgraded turbocharger
- Cold air intake kit
- Etuners Stage4 ECU remap for hybrid turbo, with map switching via the Sport button.
Performance results – Map switch position in Sport mode
- Maximum flywheel power: 280.8 bhp (measured on stock map setting 175.5bhp), gains 105.3bhp
- Maximum flywheel torque: 322 ft*lbs (measured on stock map setting 199.9ft*lbs), gains 123ft*lbs

What size and type is the turbocharger? Custom build, or finished aftermarket turbo. Can You please provide Inducer exducer size, so that we know in what range to look for that power/torque levels. Thank You
