If you are the happy owner of an Opel/Vauxhall Astra, Adam, Corsa E, Mokka, Grandland or any other model that uses the LG LC7F or LC7S (including identification LGE 04) satnav and radio display unit and your unit becomes inoperative or damaged, it is not possible to replace it with a used one. Because the radio unit is coded to your VIN and will only work on your car. If the screen gets damaged or stops working and you get a replacement, same but used radio, it will not work. You will get an error message on screen like the one here: BLOCKED
The official dealerships are only allowed to offer brand new, out-of-the-box virgin units, which they can then code to your car. Coding of used units is not possible for them and they cannot do it even if you ask politely. As if saving the planet only includes exhaust emissions but excludes saving perfectly working used electronic devices that eventually find their way to the dumpster. Because the manufacturer chose not to let you use them. Ebay and other online or offline marketplaces are full of them at a fraction of the price.
To solve this problem it is now possible for us to reflash a used display and match your car’s VIN so that it can work like your original used to. This can be done by sending the unit to us and having it shipped back on the same day.
