The Citroen DS5 1.6T usually comes with an EGS automatic gearbox and the Euro5 version of THP engines – THP163. It uses the same stock KKK turbo found on THP150 and THP156 at higher boost, utilises different electronics and an electric oil pump compared to its previous engine versions. The Engine Control Unit is a Bosch MED17.4.2, which uses a Tricore TC1767 microprocessor as its main unit.
Thanks to our home-bred remaptool – FlasherTHP, we can reflash it via OBD. There is no need to remove the ECU and bench it. Etuners FlasherTHP makes it possible for the owner to even have multiple maps or revert to stock when needed.

In order for the gearbox to be protected, the maximum boost is set at no higher than 1.4 bar, with midrange boost being no more than 1.3 bar.
