A very popular solution for the VW Golf 5 R32 for gaining power and maintaining great driveability is the supercharger upgrade kit. Usually based on a Rotrex supercharger, this kit is easy to install and makes it possible to gain another 100hp over stock without the complications of installing a turbo. The stock 3.2 engine can handle it and no intercooler is required since the boost levels are very mild.
