Seat Leon Cupra 5F 2.0TSI – #Etuners Stage3 98RON CTS BB-550 hybrid turbo

Having been pushed and tested for years with many different hybrid turbo setups, CJX engine derivatives and EA888 Gen3 in general keep delivering high power with relatively simple hardware setups.

A decade ago it was very difficult to even consider anything similar in terms of power out of a 2 liter engine with reliability and repeatability. Today it is reality, a testament to how much more advanced european engine manufacturers and their production methods have become.

Having upgraded the intake, the exhaust, the intercooler and the high pressure fuel pump, there was no more space for improvement on the stock IS38 turbocharger. The customer installed a hybrid: CTS BB-550. Without water-methanol, simply running it on 98RON fuel. To make sure the turbocharger is always under control even over 2bar, which is the stock boost sensor limits, the map sensors were upgraded and calibrated into our custom tune.
