Peugeot’s 1.6 HDI engines are very reliable and environmentally friendly diesel powerplants. Their power output can be increased reliably with an upgraded downpipe and a custom Stage2 ECU remap, while the car remains street legal. When tested at the dyno with an upgraded downpipe, this 308 produced 121hp and 259Nm of torque. After the custom remap, power was increased to 144hp and 305Nm.
