Peugeot 2008 1.2Puretech130 EAT8 MY2022 – Stage1 + intercooler
Until a few years ago it would have been very hard to imagine a future where Peugeot would exist without Gtis and rely on tiny engines to power its production cars into the future. That was the sole purpose of developing the 3 cylinder 1.2liter Puretechs. Which in many aspects is very similar to Fords 3cylinder engines too, but that is another story altogether.
This 2008 came to us for a Stage1 upgrade. From 130hp to as much as would be safe, with almost stock hardware: The stock -small- intercooler was replaced with a much larger and front mounted unit, which some of you with 1.6THP experience might recognize from our past – there are extensive articles covering the upgrade on our website. During developing of the tune the big intercooler made power delivery very consistent. Unlike other Puretechs where the tiny stock ic unit overheats very easily, no two consecutive runs produce the same amount of power without a single change in the engine calibration.
With our #Etuners Stage1 tune, designed to be fully compatible with the EAT8 gearbox, engine power reached 150hp, also gaining 44Nm of torque. A big thank you to Pavlidis Competition for the intercooler and for preparing the car for the tune.
