The Nissan Qashqai J11 uses the very popular and reliable Renault 1.5dCI diesel engine. As stock, it is not the most powerful you will ever see being installed on a Qashqai. On our dyno it produced 109hp engine power. Which is not a lot. It makes sure you will never want to overtake on the highway unless with a favourable tail wind.
Things change for the better with an #Etuners Stage1 ECU remap. Power is increased by 38hp. The big torque gain after the remap makes the engine behave more like its 2.0 dCI sisters, making the car much easier to drive. If you want 2.0dCI performance out of your 1.5dCI, it is possible by getting this remap.
