Mercedes C180 W204 1.8K 156hp MY2010 – Stage1 95RON

The Mercedes C180 W204 1.8K is powered by the very popular 1.8liter M271 supercharged engine. This version, along with another tiny one that produces 140ish hp, are the least powerful of the M271 family. Although the engine block itself remains exactly the same between the different versions available, there are differences in the supercharger system. To increase the power in any supercharged engine, the boost level needs to be increased.

Part of the low power on this car has to do with the Engine software calibration itself. The supercharger system can provide controllable boost levels, the calibration limits boost so that the car produces only 156hp but no more. And it is via the software that we allow the full potential of the supercharger system to be exploited, at no wear or increased stress penalty to the supercharger nor the engine.
After the #Etuners Stage1 tune boost is increased by 0.2bar compared to stock and power climbs significantly at high rpm.

For even greater gains, but at a cost in supercharger longevity, it is possible to upgrade the pulley system. This changes the supercharger spin ratio to the flywheel, causing it to rev more, boost more and increase power to above 200bhp.
