Porsche Panamera 971 TurboS E-hybrid (4.0TT) MY2019 – PDK tune for ZF 8DT / PDK2-tc400
The Porsche Panamera 971 Turbo S combines its almighty powerful 4.0V8 gasoline turbocharged engine with electric motors to produce a combined 680hp of power with immense torque. To make this possible, a special reinforced version of gearbox with dual clutches was developed by ZF. Instead of using a torque converter like AL551, PDK2 uses dual clutches much like a DSG gearbox.
Electric propulsion was integrated into the gearbox, optionally – meaning that even non hybrid cars received it. TC400 refers to the 400 Nm torque output of the integrated electric motor itself. The transmission as a whole is a “heavy-duty” unit capable of managing the combined 850+ Nm output of the 4.0L V8 hybrid system.
Our tune provides a software solution for the gearbox control electronics, for high powered applications. Allowing increased maximum torque output from the engine, faster shifts, customized shift points and enhanced launch control. For stage3 / big turbo applications it is also possible to operate the gearbox at slightly increased pressure, to provide better clamp.
