The S550 Ford Mustang 2.3T Ecoboost (MY2017) is an excellent platform for tuning. Not only does it have power to the right axle, it also has a bullet-proof 2.3T ecoboost engine that gains power very easily. Optimizing this platform is all about efficiency. The 6-Speed SelectShift automatic gearbox can take it!

With a better cold air intake system you get improved airflow to the turbo. With an upgraded intercooler the turbo makes power more efficiently. Then, with an upgraded exhaust that minimises backpressure you get excellent gas flow. Improving performance overall. Paired with our Stage2 custom tune, that we developed on dyno, this car made crazy power and torque gains!

When it first came to us, it made 304hp with the stock tune. Which was a little bit strange because it had already received all its hardware upgrades. We were expecting more power, definitely more than stock – which for this model the European versions make around 310hp. The hardware was ready, but it desperately needed the right software to unlock its true potential.

After developing our tune, it made 380hp on dyno with our Stage2 tune with big gains in torque.

To validate these massive real-world gains, we handed the keys back to the customer for a test drive without revealing the final numbers. When he returned with a massive smile on his face, we knew our dyno data had confirmed exactly what he felt on the road.
